Computers – beyond the basics! 2 evenings 5 - 8 pm
The Westport Center for Senior Activities is presenting two special evening classes to accommodate those who work as well as those with hands-on computer experience.
Designed for those who regularly use a computer (i.e. an hour or two every day or every few days) and know how to create a letter in Word and possibly a simple formula in Excel, this class will be helpful. This course is designed for people who know the basics on the computer and want to improve them either in the office, as a volunteer, or for personal reasons. Learn how to organize files or photos on a computer, improve techniques in both Word and Excel. In addition, students will have an introductory session with Photoshop Elements so you can touch up photos.
Learn how to work photos: insert them in a document, print, and email as attachments. Students will work in a relaxed environment. Time permitting; instructor will answer questions regarding your personal requirements.
Although there is no prerequisite, those who enroll for this class must have a basic knowledge of the keyboard and know how to use the mouse. Some knowledge of Word and/or Excel is highly recommended as students should know what cut/copy/paste means!
For further information, please contact the senior center at 341-5099 to register. Space is limited so please call early!
There will be two 10-minute breaks during each session.
